Greetings from Costa Rica

Things are moving fast at Marcia’s Paradise.

We have been improving the entrance area just inside the gate  to make the waterfall an outstanding feature of our lovely property. In another week or so we’ll have a Tilapia pond with the waterfall cascading into another pond and under the entrance bridge. This will be one of four or five beautiful garden spots in which to rest, read, dream and perhaps fish

The second project we’ve been working on is the start of our newest house. This 260 square meter, three bedroom home with garage will have the same fabulous view as all the other homes on “Marcia’s Paradise.” It will be ready for occupancy by June 15th but any buyer who would like to customize such things as kitchen cabinets, floor coverings, and appliances should contact us as soon as possible. The home will be listed at $230,000 and it will be well worth it, but we are willing to entertain offers because, as you know, our main purpose is to build a community of friends rather than to make money.

The asking price includes all architect fees, permits, electrical hook-up etc. This home is being built to the highest standards. This means structural steel throughout the foundations and within all columns, quality insulation and moisture barriers in the walls, under the floors and above the ceilings. We’re using North American standards of plumbing which means larger pipes than are used in Costa Rica. Our toilets, sinks, bathtubs, doors and windows are American made. We’re using Kohler and  Price Pfister bathroom accessories  and granite sink surrounds on the bathroom cabinets. The Kitchen has ample room with quality cabinets and granite counter tops and an island to create a sense of space. There’s a large Jacuzzi in the master bath with a view of the tropical garden area.
