Greetings from Costa Rica

Everything keeps moving forward here at Marcia’s Paradise. Gerardo and Douglas have almost finished the very large septic tank for the latest house. I can’t believe how large it is but it has to be up to code for Costa Rica. Judging by the quality of their work I would say it’s better than many of the houses these people live in.
This week we became “wired.” Here you see the dishes for Satellite Internet and Satellite T.V. The internet is working very well. I guess I’m not a TV addict. There is too much to do  here that is far more interesting. In all the time I’ve lived in Costa Rica I haven’t missed it at all. However, now that
we have the satellite system I guess I’ll have to break down and buy a set so that I can show others how well it works. The system we have installed allows internet all over the plantation and the T.V dish will take care of  about half of the property. When more neighbors move in we’ll put in a second TV dish
While the crew has been working on the newest house, I’ve been exploring  in the woods and I’ve found more wonderful places for us to spend time.  One of these days when I get old, I’m sure I’ll enjoy relaxing in these delightful hideaways. Here you see a foot- bridge we built today to take us to that old ranchero you see above. It was built as a place for the coffee pickers to rest and have their lunch. There is even the remains of an old oil drum (rusted out) that was once used as a barbeque. I think this will be a great place for a barbecue that we can  share with our new neighbors, but we’ll build the new one out of brick
